Improving the college's estate is a starting point for our journey towards a more sustainable college
community. As well as obvious financial gains through the implementation of efficiency schemes, it also
provide us with an opportunity to raise awareness about the environment.
College management have a series of measure in place that will make a positive contribution towards
sustainable development in a variety of key areas:
- A pilot scheme was launched in 2009 for the implementation of an efficient waste recycling scheme
- Procurement of local ‘green’ suppliers in things like stationery; publicity materials etc
- Improved presence and reputation of college as a sustainable organisation within the wider community.
