Curriculum Sustainability

Curriculum will include raising awareness of ideas and issues of environment benefits locally and globally.

Liverpool Community College promotes sustainability throughout its curriculum. Through participation students are able to learn and understand the key features of sustainability and how it affects their lives.

Examples of how the college curriculum promotes sustainability include:

  • Fashion students work with recycling company to present fashion show.
  • A former college student launches retail career selling recycled clothes.
  • Diploma construction students planning a green college.
  • Hospitality and catering students hosting a 'Year of the Environment' meal at the academy restaurant to promote locally produced organic food.
  • Students volunteering with the BTCV to plant trees.
