Teaching and Assessor Roles

The college is looking for talented, motivated staff to join our pool of versatile individuals on our Staff Bank. We have opportunities in a wide range of subject areas across our 5 city centre locations.

Learning Support Practitioners

Hourly rates of pay:

Learning Support Practitioners £12.08

Sensory support (including VI specialism) £12.08

Communicators £16.16

We are looking for both general learning support and specialist VI and Communication support staff who have experience supporting students across different subject areas who may have a wide range of learning difficulties/disabilities.

Support will include:

• Re-enforcing instructions/information

• Notetaking

• Organisation skills

• Re-focussing/engaging with students positively

• Adaptable/approachable and patient

• Liaison with academic staff regarding support strategies and differentiation in in the classroom

• Completion of documentation/paperwork

• Good communication skills

• Relevant IT skills.

Teaching Roles

Hourly rate of pay: £17.13

In particular we are looking for bank staff in the following areas:

English, Maths, Science and other A level Subjects, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Installation; Carpentry & Joinery, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, ESOL, Garment Construction, Pattern Cutting, Games Development, Character Art, Programming, Journalism, Photography, Sport, Nail Technology, Hairdressing, Make-Up and Hair and Beauty, Fashion Retail & Business and Fashion Buyer.

A teaching qualification and teaching experience is a real advantage but not always essential.

Assessors

Hourly rate of pay: £14.68
