Widening Participation (MNCO)

Employability and Enterprise Zone (EEZ) is a centralised space where you can go to access a range of information, events, activities and services to support you through college and into work or an apprenticeship.

There are jobs, a mac suite & relaxed area where you can access information and where staff are on hand to help with queries and guide you in the right direction. The EEZ Zone is located at the Learning Exchange, Roscoe Street L1 9DW

Work Related Activity Team:

  • Source work placement/experience opportunities
  • Works with employers
  • Liaises with Senior and Personal Tutors
  • Curriculum/Vocational staff and related teams
  • Host appointment slots for 1-1 interviews
  • Support students

  • Visiting Experts - NHS, univerties, NAS, banks, voluntary sector experts, Princes Trust, Barnados
  • Guest Speakers - Raleigh International, The Pink Plasterer, Rare London, Chesire Business Start-up of the Year award winner, Dame Kelly Holmes Foundation, Topshop, B&M, Leaf
  • Events - Christmas recruitment, Employer event, apprenticeship event, Raleigh International RAG Week, B&M FAST Track Scheme
  • Master-classes - A series of "Brand Me" workshops including: Memory Skills-Exams & You, It's Your Money-Make it Count, Empowerment & Safeguarding, Your Brand-Your Career, Prepare for Work Placements, Say It Write It, Perfect It (communication skills)
  • One Hit Wonders - A series of drop-in "quick fix/all you need to know" sessions on job search, Job & Apprenticeship applications, Targeted CV's & Interview Skills
