Former student in UK final of prestigious law competition

A former City of Liverpool College student is through to the final of a national law competition that offers the winner a foot in the door of the esteemed legal profession.

Former A-level student, Heather Jane, is down to the last ten of the Future Legal Mind Award 2017, which requires entrants to submit an original essay on a specific subject that is relevant to today’s legal profession.

The prestigious award, in association with industry publication Lawyer 2B and National Accident Helpline, offers the country’s brightest legal minds the chance to win valuable work experience with a top law firm and cash prizes totalling more than £7,000.

Heather, from Kensington, studied for her A-levels at the college before moving on to the University of Law in Chester.

Winner of the top prize will be announced at the end of March with runners-up also receiving a £250 cash prize and the sought after title of "Future Legal Mind Finalist".
