Early application is advised as some of our courses fill up very quickly. The college takes applications from 1st October for courses starting in the following September. (Applications for part time courses and courses starting several times a year are on-going and dealt with differently).

We consider the following when dealing with applications to make sure the course is the right one for you:

• the entry requirements for the course (please see course information on this website or phone the Course Information Line on 0151 252 3000)
• previous qualifications
• Initial assessment results (maths and English levels)
• Your interview/audition

We may need to speak to you about your application before it can proceed. If there is a delay in your response or you postpone any appointments made for you, this will affect the timescales outlined below.

We deal with applications in 3 blocks:

1st October – 31st January

If we receive your application by 31st January, you will be in the first round of our admissions process. This means that we will invite you to an initial assessment, audition and/or interview by 12th March. You will be told if you are to be offered a place by 26th April.

1st February – 31st May

If we receive your application by 31st May, you will be in the second round. If places are still available, we will invite you to an initial assessment, audition and/or interview by 2nd July. You will be told if you are to be offered a place by 26th July.

1st June – 13 August

If we receive your application after 1st June, and there are still places available you will be invited to an initial assessment, audition and/or interview by 27th August. You will be told if you are to be offered a place by 31st August.

Please note different arrangements for GCSE/A Level applications

Do not apply to us for GCSE or A levels after 31st May until you know your results. As soon as possible after you know your results, call in to Student Services to fill in an application form. We will make a decision, based on your results and the availability of places, by 3rd September.
