Vacancy Description:

The main activities will be to support our housing officer in their day to day tasks. This includes;

  • Recording & monitoring the location of property keys
  • Communicating with letting agents & landlords
  • Assisting in the completion of paperwork
  • Assisting in ensuring health and safety checks are up to date
  • Searching for properties in specific locations reading from a script
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Assisting the housing officer in dealing with any problems that may arise
  • Assist in paying bills


You will also be required to undertake general administration duties including;

  • Scanning
  • Producing folders for Just ONE staff
  • Keeping records up to date


Skills Required:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, practical and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills in particular working with Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organisational skills

One key part of the role is dealing with confidential information, the ideal candidate must be aware of the importance of confidentiality.

Confidentiality and organisation skills are key to being successful within this role.


Personal Qualities required:

  •          Creative, practical and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  •          Ability to work in a team
  •          Good interpersonal and organisational skills


Qualifications Required:

No formal qualifications required, however, a good standard of English and IT are essential.


Training to be provided:

Level 2 Business Admin with Functional Skills where applicable

The employer will also consider applicants who already have their Level 2 Business Admin qualification and are looking for a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship. Wages will be reconsidered for Level 3 applicants.


Expected Duration:

12 Months


Working Week:

37.5 Hours Per Week

Working Hours: 8:30– 5:00pm


Future Prospects:

Apprenticeship with the prospect of full time employment should the apprenticeship go well


Other Important Information:

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by the Government for non-levy paying employers. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution.
