Vacacny Details:

Duties include:

Social Media

  • Overseeing hotel social media accounts - Instagram / Facebook / Twitter.
  • Researching social media trends and local events within the city.   
  • Scheduling daily/weekly posts to enlighten audiences and promote offers.
  • Working with each department to develop social media timelines coinciding with promotional offers.
  • Monitoring and developing reports on competitor activity within social media space.
  • Creating registration pages for wedding shows/open evenings.
  • Gathering visitor data – weekly page updates.
  • Responding to all social media messages.


  • Answering calls
  • Inputting new reservations (AC Tours, Hotel Beds, Hotels Tonight, Travel Zoo, Buy a Gift)
  • Inputting Wowcher offers

General Duties

  • Use of Microsoft Word
  • General use of the internet for research purposes
  • Use of Spreadsheets

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • A demonstrable working knowledge of Social Media, Digital communication and an interest in developments within this field

  • Advanced skills in IT, including word processing, excel, publisher

  • IT literacy including proficiency in word processing and data entry.

  • Knowledge of general office procedures.

    • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.

    • The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary.

    • Good organisational skills

    • Demonstrate skills to undertake administrative duties.

      And the ability to:

      • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.

      • Respond flexibly to the demands of the post.

      • Work as a member of a team.

      • Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure.

      • Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity.

        Desirable criteria:

    • Knowledge of local services and geography.
