Job Description: 

The Creative & Media Production Apprentice will work in all aspects of the company including Live Events, Exhibitions, Film production and Photography.

This is a great opportunity for anybody looking to get their foot in the door for a career in the creative industries. We’re not looking for someone for the short term but instead for someone who can advance, develop and stay with the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, timely and cost-effective production of all work to ensure complete satisfaction by all clients whether in-house or Company.

Duties across the 4 departments will include the following:

  • Set and exhibition stand construction
  • Equipment preparation
  • Graphic production and finishing
  • Digital filing and archiving
  • General crew duties for live events and exhibition
  • Production assistant for film and photography in studio or on location
  • Deliveries & collections for suppliers and clients

Qualifications Required: 

GCSE’s grades A-C in English, Maths are essential.

An ICT qualification would be desirable for this role.

 

Training to be Provided:

Creative and Digital Media Level 3.

1-day per week attendance at The City of Liverpool College.

If the post-holder requires Functional Skills qualifications, then there is the need for attendance at 2 hour knowledge sessions for 10 weeks at the start of the programme at a City of Liverpool College centre in the city centre.

 

Expected Duration:

18 Months

 

Working Week:

08:45 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday

08:45 – 16:30 Friday

 

Future Prospects:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship the post will be reviewed and there is the opportunity of a full-time position (to be confirmed).

 

Vacancy Location:

Primarily at our Birkenhead offices and on location across the UK which may include overnight stays and weekend working.

 

Reality Check:

Must have good access to the office and live within a reasonable distance.

It would be advantageous for the candidate to drive or near passing their driving test and also to be living in the Wirral.

 

Important Information:

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by the Government for non-levy paying employers. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution.
