Annual Leave and Public Holidays     

All staff have a generous annual leave entitlement - 50 days for lecturers, 35 days for management graded posts and up to 28 days for support staff. This entitlement is in addition to eight annual bank holidays.


Childcare Voucher Scheme




Counselling Service

The College provides access to a free, independent and confidential twenty-four hour telephone counselling service, to support employees through crisis or persistent work or personal issues. This service is provided through XXX and their highly experienced and professionally trained counsellors.


Cycle to Work Scheme

The College offer a Ride-to-Work scheme which operates via salary sacrifice deductions from your gross pay.  This allows you to save either 32% or 42% (dependent on your tax bracket) on the hire of a bike and/or cycling accessories via income tax and national insurance savings. The scheme allows you to spread the repayment costs over 12 months with a range of attractive ownership options to consider once the hire agreement has concluded.



The Academy Hair & Beauty Salons and Restaurant (onsite campus)

As a member of the workforce, you have access to college's onsite hair and beauty salons at the Duke Street Campus offering you and your family great savings on similar treatments on the high street.  You also have access to the College's Academy training restaurant offering a-la-carte menus at a fraction of the cost of similar eateries.



Pension Scheme

The college offers 2 occupational pension schemes either the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) depending on the nature of the role undertaken with the college. Both are salary linked career average schemes with generous employer contributions and incorporating 3 x salary life cover.



Sports & Fitness facilities (onsite campus)

The college has excellent sport and gym facilities at its Roscoe Street campus, which can be used by staff free of charge (staff supervision required)

Training and Development

As an outstanding college, we are committed to developing our staff. Employees undertake a series of training programmes which include a full induction to the college, covering inportant aspects Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health & Safety.

We continue to improve teaching and support for all our students and regularly hold planned, targeted training and development programmes to ensure we are constantly up to speed on the latest advances and practices in the industries our training programmes are designed around.  This ensures a modern approach to the style and balance in curriculum delivery, as well as development of support and management staff.
