Fee Policy

Students aged 16-18 years old
You are not charged tuition or examination fees unless sponsored by your school,
employer or managing agent.
Students aged 19 and over
All courses have a fee attached to them, but:
You will qualify for 100% tuition fee reduction* if you receive, or are an unwaged
dependent of someone who receives, one of the following means tested benefits:
- Income Support
- Jobseeker's Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Working Tax Credit
- Pension Guarantee Credit
* Eligible students will be expected to make a contribution towards their examination
fees of £15.
Adult students will also qualify for 100% tuition fee reduction** if they are studying for:
- First full level 2 (the equivalent of 5 GCSEs at grade C)
- First full Level 3 for 19-24 year olds (the equivalent of A-levels or BTEC National)
- First full level 3 for 25+ year olds who do not already have a full level 2 qualification
- Skills for Life
** Eligible students will be expected to pay for their examination fees.
If you are working but do not qualify for a fee reduction you may be eligible for
help through the discretionary student support fund. Speak to Student Services.
Please note
- If you receive a means tested benefit such as Income Support, you will qualify for 100% fee reduction (see criteria above)
All courses have a fee attached to them. Please note that if your course is made up of more than one qualification, there will be a charge for each part.
- Tuition fees are charged for each year of your course
- Exam or registration fees are separate and additional to tuition fees
- For some courses assessments/supplementary charges may be an additional charge
- If you are working but do not qualify for a fee reduction you may be eligible for help through the discretionary support fund. Speak to Student Services.
