What is it?
If aged 19+ (on 31st August) and coming back to college to complete your first full Level 2 or first full Level 3 qualification, and you received Adult Learning Grant (ALG) in your firsat year of study, then you will continue to receive weekly payments whilst you finish your course. Below is a quick breakdown of who will and will not be eligible for Adult Learning Grant (ALG):
- Adult Learning Grant (ALG) is no longer available to new students starting college in September 2011.
- Existing ALG recipients will receive a Notice of Entitlement (NoE) for 2011/2012 to enable them to complete their current course and receive weekly payments from the Learner Support Service. The ALG learner and learning provider helpline will also continue.

the payment body, Capita.
