Apply for Access to HE: Allied Health Professions and Nursing (part time - evening/blended) ...

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a level three qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university.  The course is structured to allow students to develop both knowledge of their subjects and the academic skills to progress to university.  The evening and blended learning course is designed to fit in around busy schedules, with a minimum of one evening per week studying at the college, combined with a distance learning programme.

This pathway is designed for students looking to go onto a career in a health profession, such as adult nursing, childhood nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and paramedics.  The combination of subjects will allow you to build up an extensive knowledge of the human body and mind, through modules in human physiology and psychology.  You will also develop your understanding of healthcare professions through the professional healthcare practice module.  In addition to this you will be able to develop your academic and subject skills in a supportive environment, which will allow you to make the transition to degree level.

The entry requirements to study on the allied health pathway are a GCSE 4/C or above in English and Maths. If you would be interested in studying with us on this pathway then please complete the online application, and you will be invited in to one of our open evenings, where you can discuss the course in more detail with the teaching staff.

IMPORTANT: You must be aged 19 or over to be able to study on an Access programme.
