The AAT Level Four Professional Diploma in Accounting provides individuals with highly marketable skills and knowledge. The AAT is the only professional body to specialise in accounting technician training and development. This diploma is recognised internationally as a qualification in its own right, and as a means of access to a range of higher education courses or as a vehicle for progression in the accountancy profession, such as CIMA, ACCA and CIPFA.

The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed with the Level Three Diploma. On completion of all relevant units, our students are qualified in building and managing financial statements for limited companies, carrying out complex management accounting tasks and general financial management.

The course is designed for students who are 19 years and over and is suitable for:

• Those students who have successfully completed the Level Three Advanced Diploma in Accounting

• Those who would like to become a graduate member of the AAT

• Students who would like to progress in the accountancy profession through the numerous professional

bodies.

Once you have enrolled on the course it is essential that you continue your membership with the AAT so that you can sit the AAT online assessments and access study resources.

Core units include:

• Management Project.

The Level 4 AAT qualification provides key skills for financial team leaders. On completion of all units, our students are qualified in building and managing financial statements for limited companies, carrying out complex management accounting tasks and financial management skills.

AAT qualifications have been designed to encourage progression. The Level Four qualification gives the learner

membership of The Association of Accounting Technicians and thus enables the use of designated MAAT after their names. This allows the member to set up in private practice and offer a range of accounting services.
