IT with Cisco Systems Support &

Networking Level 3 Diploma

The course covers the Cisco CCNA, BTEC National Diploma in IT (Systems Support) and some Microsoft Server content. It is aimed at students wishing to move into the field of IT support or those already working within the field to progress in their careers.

The course is delivered alongside the BTEC National Diploma with units that relate to the content of the Cisco qualifications including Computer Systems, Computer networks, Managing Networks, Communication Technologies, IT technical Support and Project Planning with IT.

The qualification is aimed at those who already possess good knowledge and understanding of ICT systems and desktop support and who wish to extend their knowledge and skills. It is also suitable for those who are already employed in a system support role. The qualification will also meet the needs of those who are studying in preparation for roles that will involve system support activities. You will be working in specialist computer labs and workshops.

The full CCNA course is also available for study at home where practical work and practice exams can be completed in the student’s own time.

  • Help to achieve GCSE English and maths at grades A*-C if you do not already have them
  • Practical activities that help your personal development including study skills, enrichment activities, employability training and classes in personal and social skills to get you ready for further education or employment.
  • Support to enable you to progress to the next level of study or employment

English and Maths skills are vital for employment and to secure a place on courses at a higher level, including university.

We have a team of tutors who will work with you to achieve these essential qualifications and enable you to apply these skills in your day to day activities and work.

Since September 2013 any young person who does not achieve their GCSE in English language and mathematics at grade C or above will have to continue their studies at college. Students who have a grade D in either subject must study these subjects at GCSE level.
