Access to HE: Midwifery (part

time - evening/blended)

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a level three qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university. The course is structured to allow students to develop both knowledge of their subjects and the academic skills to progress to university. The evening and blended learning course is designed to fit in around busy schedules, with a minimum of one evening per week studying at the college, combined with a distance learning programme.

The combination of subjects will allow you to build up an extensive knowledge of the human body and mind, through modules in biology and psychology. You will also develop your understanding of healthcare professions through the professional healthcare practice module. In addition to this you will be able to develop your academic and subject skills in a supportive environment, which will allow you to make the transition to degree level.

This pathway is designed for students looking to go onto a career in midwifery.
