Short description

Baby Melanie is looking for an Apprentice to join our team and assist with our social media campaigns.

This new role has a wide variety of duties with the overall aim of delivering integrated social media campaigns.

We want someone who is a whizz at all things search related, but that’s not all! We need somebody who can make recommendations for our social media campaigns, taking in to account the end-users point of view. Commercial Awareness and excellent customer facing and presentation skills would also be a bonus!

 

 

Full description

The job involves the delivery of social media campaigns that will help to increase the visibility of, and increase the traffic to the Baby Melanie’s website (http://www.babymelanie.co.uk/). It will also involves the delivery of campaigns that integrate with baby Melanie’s other digital marketing activity. The successful candidate will be updating and creating content for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. It would also be expected to have creative input to the overall marketing strategy.

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills are a ‘must have’ and a passion for digital marketing is a necessity for the successful candidate.

 

We are looking for an Apprentice who has a working knowledge of various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You will also become proficient in analysing our web presence using Google Analytics.

 

The position offers the opportunity to learn on the job in a supportive and creative team.

 

Skills required

  • A demonstrable working knowledge of Social Media, Digital communication and an interest in developments within this field
  • Skills in IT, including word processing, excel, publisher
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Some retail Experience would be extremely advantageous as the role requires regular contact with customer in a sales capacity on the shop floor also.

Qualifications required

GCSE’s grades A-C in English, Maths and ICT are desirable for this role.

Future prospects

On successful completion of the apprenticeship the post will be reviewed and there may be the opportunity of a full-time position and progression onto a higher level apprenticeship.
