Number of positions (1)

Working week – The hours are primarily Monday – Friday between 9am and 5pm

(however a level of flexibility will be required at times Total hours per week: 35.00 )

Weekly wage – £129.50

Expected apprenticeship duration –  12 months

 

Urgent Care 24 provides urgent care services across the North West, working in three main sectors: GP Out of Hours; NHS 111 and Community Services. As a not-for-profit Social Enterprise, we work closely with people, partners and communities to deliver services that focus on quality and care

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-organised and motivated individual to join our Human Resources and PA teams as an Administration Apprentice at our headquarters in Wavertree, Liverpool. Your time will be split evenly across both teams in order to provide secretarial and administrative support to contribute towards the delivery of a high quality service for the whole organisation.

Duties to include:

  • Answering the telephones and taking clear and concise messages and acting upon them when required
  • Sending clear, well written correspondence via emails and managing and replying to incoming emails
  • Composing and replying to letters with supervision from the Manager
  • Updating and entering data onto the IT systems. (Full training will be given)
  • Arranging and scheduling meetings  making sure rooms are booked to accommodate them
  • Communicating effectively with all members of the organisation and gain a clear understanding and follow the confidentiality guidelines
  • Photocopying and scanning documents as required
  • Filing of personal documentation and ensure all files are up to date and meet the required standards
  • To attend organisation/team meetings and contribute where needed
  • Meeting and greeting
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Undertake a range of administration and transactional administration tasks to support the delivery of service
  • To work towards the objectives agreed in own performance and development reviews

  • Ability to seek help and guidance when required or if a problem occurs
  • Have the confidence to work in a busy environment

Personal qualities

  • Motivated to achieve targets and develop their knowledge
  • Tactful and discrete with regards to information being held
  • Ability to follow instruction as well as using own initiative when appropriate

Desired qualifications

  • Demonstrable high level of literacy and numeracy skills
  • A recognised qualification in maths, English, IT to a GCSE level or equivalents

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills maths (if GCSE or equivalent A-C (9-4) is not already achieved)
  • Functional Skills English (if GCSE or equivalent A-C (9-4) is not already achieved)
