This role will ensure that you gain all the necessary engineering skills needed to successfully install refrigeration services within large UK supermarkets and other large facilities.

Full Description

Alongside this, you will also be taught how to correctly install air conditioning services within residential properties so that all aspects of refrigeration and air conditioning engineering are covered in depth.

Within this role you will work alongside our qualified and experienced refrigeration engineers and assist them on jobs as they teach you different skills and knowledge on the job allowing you to learn as you work; eventually, if successful this could lead to you becoming a full-time refrigeration engineer mainly working in the retail sector.

Works will mainly take place within large UK supermarkets with some programmes of works lasting months due to the size of the job, however, we do complete some residential small air conditioning jobs.

This role will involve working away across different parts of England, Scotland, and Wales and will also involve night shifts and weekend works. As a company we do try our best to alternate between which engineers are working away and working nights so that it is fair on everyone.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • You will attend The City of Liverpool College one day a week to complete your NVQ qualification.
  • Assisting our engineers on site learning as you go
  • Completing the necessary training on time
  • Pressure Testing
  • Brazing
  • Ventilation and Installation

Working Week: Hours of the role depends on the scope of works we are carrying out. Hours will involve:

  • Night shifts
  • Day shifts
  • Weekend works
  • Working away

Day-to-day hours depend on the job that we are working on and how much works needs to be completed.
