  • This course is taught in our Digital Academy at the Arts Centre campus on Myrtle Street, 3 days per week over 1 academic year.

What to expect from the course

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification, which is the equivalent to 3 A Levels, which also attracts UCAS tariff points should you wish to progress further with your studies.

The core subjects you’ll study are Computing and Digital Technology based. Alongside this, you will develop your academic skills within a supportive environment, which will allow you to make the transition to degree level.

You will have access to outstanding academic and pastoral support throughout your course, with online access to materials, and with a full Microsoft 365 suite during your time with us. You will be taught by specialist teachers, who have extensive knowledge about the subject areas being delivered.

We have considerable experience and expertise of the subject matter and working with adult learners, who may have taken either a short or a long break from formal education.

The course content is suited to anyone who is confident in their Mathematics and English ability (GCSE grades 5 or above)

Academy Restaurant

Duke Street campus is also home to the College’s Academy Restaurant. Often referred to by it’s customers as Liverpool’s hidden gem, the restaurant serves top class cuisine, at highly competitive prices. Food is expertly prepared by professional chef/tutors and young chefs in training and offers students a range of discounts at different times of the year.

Microsoft Office 365 - Free

When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.

Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite

The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Entry Requirements

This course is available to learners aged 19 and over, although depending on your qualifications to date some discretion may be applied. If you are 19-23 and don’t have 2 A-Levels (or equivalent), you won’t’ have to pay any fees for this course.

If you are 24 years or over, or 19 – 23 and have 2 A-Levels (or equivalent) at the start of the course, fees are payable, but you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost of your course.
