Course informationOur AS and A2 courses cover all the core elements of Art & Design. You will be encouraged to explore your chosen themes while developing creative and professional working methods. Drawing is seen as a fundamental part of the course along with critical studies.
Your work will be assessed in 4 main ways:
• Contextual understanding
• Creative making
• Reflective recording
• Personal presentation
“Fine Art Endorsed” means you will produce work that is within the fine art specialist area including drawing and painting.
NB. The AS is a freestanding course and can be studied without progression to the A2. The A2 will only be offered in any year if there are sufficient numbers progressing from AS, there is no guarantee that it will run every year.
