Brickwork First Step (Short Course) (April Start)

Course information

Do you want to learn a new skill? How about bricklaying?

The course is designed to enable students to develop their skills in the following areas:
• H&S
• Basic trowel skills – rolling and spreading mortar, buttering bricks, running to a line and jointing.
• Brickwork skills gauge, level, plumb and range.
• Brickwork knowledge- basic bonds and methods of work

Learners work at their own pace on various projects over the 8 week course. This is a full cost course at £280. The course runs in the evening from 5.30-8.00 for 8 weeks.

Three planned occurrences, dates to be confirmed subject to demand:
September 2020
January 2021
April 2021

Qualifications

First Step into Brickwork College Certificate

This course leads to...

The course can lead to a fulltime course at construction.

Entry Requirements

Learners who want to gain experience of areas within the Construction Industry / improve their own skills.
