CAD 3D (Computer Aided Design) — Level 3 Award

Course information

AutoDesks AutoCAD is one of the pieces of software recognised by industry that is used to produce 3D models particularly within the Construction and Engineering sectors.
Using AutoCAD 2013 the course will take you from extensive 2-dimensional knowledge in to the demanding area of 3 Dimensional modelling in the form of Surfaces and Solids. You will be able to, for a fee, produce your 3D design using our 3D Printer (subject size of object).
Assessment will take place in the form of 2 timed practical drawing tests and an on-screen multi-choice question module.


City & Guilds 7579 3D Computer Aided Design

This course leads to...

Successful completion will allow progression on to Architectural CAD (Revit) or Engineering Solid Modelling (Inventor or Solid works)

Entry Requirements

Ideally you will be qualified at Level 3 in 2D CAD or be able to demonstrate skills appropriate to the course.
