The course has been designed for learners who are looking to further develop their careers in Human Resources (HR). Currently you will be working within a HR role at advisor or manager level, or a line manager or recently completed level 3 qualification.
Set up at undergraduate level, CIPD Intermediate qualifications are suitable for those:
- looking to develop a career in HR management or development and want to study for a recognised qualification
- who need to understand the role of HR or L&D in the wider organisational and environmental context
- seeking to progress and further develop their professional HR or L&D knowledge after studying a CIPD Level 3 Foundation qualification
- aspiring to become a professional member of the CIPD, as an associate member.
The course is designed for anyone seeking to develop a career in HR, are working either in HR at the level of HR adviser or manager and need to extend their knowledge and skills or have responsibility for implementing HR policies and strategies.

Based in a city centre location you will study the following modules:-
5DVP - Developing Professional Practice
5CHR - Business Issues and the Contexts for Human Resources
5UIN - Using Information in Human Resources
5RST - Resourcing and Talent Planning
5IVP - Improving Organisational Performance
5ICM - Implementing Coaching and Mentoring
This course will look at why policies and strategies are implemented within a business and the cost implications of these in terms of people, product and planet.
The fee for this course is £1295, and students also need to become a member of CIPD at an additional cost of around £130. Please note, this course is loans eligible, but the maximum Advanced Learner Loan available is £724.00. Students will therefore need to make arrangements to pay the balance of fees themselves. Instalment arrangements are available.

Upon successful completion of the course you will be able to progress on the CIPD advanced level qualification.
You will either need to have gained level 3 qualification in Human Resource Practice or Learning and Development Practice or be operating.
All applicants will be required to undergo an interview with the course team to assess their suitability for the course. You will need to provide information regarding your previous level of attainment and level that they are operating at within their organisation.
