This day release course is aimed at people of all ages working at technician, supervisory or craft levels within the construction industry. It is designed to provide a technical understanding of Building Construction Technology, Health and Safety, Science, Materials, Construction Mathematics, Surveying, Estimating and Management Planning.

BTEC Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Construction depending on employment status.

Degree courses in Construction

The qualification can lead to a professional career in Architecture, Building Control, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Estate and Housing Management, Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying, Structural and Services Engineering.

Please note that for some university courses you may need GCSE English and or/ Maths and Science at C or above. You must check this with the universities you may wish to apply to.

Entry Requirements

Must normally be working in the industry although exceptions may be made after discusion with the tutor.
BTEC First Certificate / Diploma in Construction or relevant equivalent
5 GCSEs at grade C or above.
Mature students with an appropriate background may be eligible.
