BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Digital and Computing Technologies is an exciting and fast-paced course, designed to equip you with the skills required for the Digital industries.

This course will boost your STEM skills as you will problem solve to develop creative and technical solutions. The Creative and Digital sector in Liverpool City Region is growing at a rapid pace, this course will develop your skills in programming, robotics, software and technology.

This course will develop industry standard skills in order to progress to a Level 3 qualification or Apprenticeship. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of industry experts and complete industry specific work experience.

This course leads to...

The course is designed to develop your skills and expertise around the digital skills required on a local and national level . The course can lead to progression onto L3 Digital and Computing Technologies, L3 Games Development or a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements

In order to be accepted on the course you will need a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade D or above including English and Maths or an appropriate level 1 IT qualification along with a Level 1 in Maths and English and ICT. In order to progress to level 3 students must also achieve level 2 Maths and English. You must also demonstrate a keen commitment to study and that you can behave responsibly in a professional environment.

Fees

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free. If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, you won't have to pay any fees for this course.
