Digital Skills — Level 1

Course information

Level 1 Certificate in Digital Skills is an online, distance learning course aimed at adult learners. In an increasingly digital world, it is important to be able to use computers and other technological devices. This course is designed to improve your digital literacy skills to assist you with everyday life.

You will learn:
1. How to find and use information
2. Safety and security when using data and digital devices
3. Communicating and collaborating online
4. Using word processing software
5. Using a computer
6. Digital career development

This course leads to...

Progression into L2 Award Information and Creative technology or other full time L1 adults courses including L1 ITQ or L1 Functional Skills IT.

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free. If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, you won't have to pay any fees for this course.
