Course information

This exciting programme is designed to provide an opportunity for those who have an interest in fashion and textiles to gain an accredited qualification and progress to a career in the sector.
The course provides knowledge, understanding and skills through a range of activities including observational drawing and fashion illustration, researching fashion designers and trends, developing design ideas for garments, production of patterns for garments, garment construction and experimental textile techniques.
The course is delivered through a series of workshops and students will undertake a series of internally assessed assignment briefs. Students will have the opportunity to visit galleries and exhibitions as part of the course and take part in the College end of year fashion show.
Delivery of the course is designed specifically for an adult cohort with a 9.30am start.
Many students progress to a higher level of study or become self-employed developing skills for family and business clients.

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free. If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, you won't have to pay any fees for this course.
