Course information
The level 3 Hairdressing programme provides training to support Apprentices working within the hairdressing industry. It is designed to develop the skills of new and existing employees. The programme is delivered at our Duke St. campus for one day per week, over a one year period.
The programme provides theory and practical training in:
• Consultation
• Promote services or products
• Health and safety
• Creatively Cutting hair
• Colouring hair
• Colour correction
• Creatively style and dress hair
• Creatively dress long hair
• Develop and enhance creative skills
There are other unit options available to meet the needs of the Individual Apprentice this can be decided
Apprentices complete competence based assessments throughout the course. Practical assessments take place in the workplace and at college. Upon successful completion the apprentice will be awarded NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing
• Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English

No minimum entry requirements however must be willing to work toward:
