This comprehensive course consists of four units that cover essential topics for individuals interested in babysitting:
Providing Excellent Childcare in a Babysitting Environment: Discover the best practices and techniques for delivering exceptional care to young children in a secure and nurturing setting.

Accident Prevention and Fire Safety in Babysitting: Gain the knowledge and skills required to prevent accidents and handle emergency situations, including fire safety protocols, ensuring the safety and welfare of the children you look after.

Parenting Rights and Responsibilities: Gain insight into the legal and ethical aspects of parenting, encompassing the rights and responsibilities of parents and caregivers, fostering a supportive and conscientious approach in your babysitting role.

Parenting and Promoting Healthy Lifestyles: Explore the significance of healthy lifestyles in parenting, including nutrition, physical activities, and promoting overall well-being for children.

Academy Restaurant

Duke Street campus is also home to the College’s Academy Restaurant. Often referred to by it’s customers as Liverpool’s hidden gem, the restaurant serves top class cuisine, at highly competitive prices. Food is expertly prepared by professional chef/tutors and young chefs in training and offers students a range of discounts at different times of the year.

When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.

Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite

The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Entry Requirements

To apply for this course you must be aged 19+, have at least a Level 1 in English, good IT skills and access to a PC or laptop.

This course is only available to learners aged 19 and over.
If you are unemployed or earning less than £33,958.60 a year? You may qualify to join this course for free.
