What to expect from the course
- The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance has been designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of music related subjects. This includes: music performance, music theory, composition, midi sequencing, listening skills, sight reading, live sound for musicians and studying of instrument development and individual instrumental skills, as well as developing basic digital skills across different musical platforms.
The qualification has been designed for those who have an interest in music performance and/or related subjects, who wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience. Many students will have identified a specific progression route, within the creative industries. This course will enable you to develop your skills, using this qualification as a starting point to progress to the music industry.

When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Entry Requirements
This course is designed for students aged 16 or above.
Your English and Maths will need to be at a minimum of level 1 which is GCSE D-E (4-1) standard. You must have at least 1 GCSE at a minimum of grade D (3) or equivalent.
An enthusiasm in music performance and rudimentary skills on chosen instrument.

Fees
If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free.
