Photography — Level 2 Award (Aged 19+)

Course information

The Level 2 Award in Photography has been introduced for adults, enabling them to both re-engage with education and acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding to progress to further study or employment within the creative industries.
The qualification is a short course based in the Autumn term and consists of two units of study.
The qualification provides :
• An introductory experience to some of the materials, methods and processes and technical skills that support photography activity
• An introductory understanding to the content in which photography/ art & design activity is located
• An opportunity to test you interest
• Introduction to research activities to support design work
• Introduction to drawing skills necessary to support a project
• Development of communication skills
• The opportunity to use the knowledge and skills developed to complete a personal project brief to a given theme.

UAL Level 2 Award in Art & Design- Photography

This course leads to...

Progression to UAL level 2 Diploma in Photography

Entry Requirements

Level 1 Qualification or 3 GCSE's at Grade 3/D or equivalent and an interview to include evidence of an interest in photography

Why study with us?

This is the only programme in the City Region that is aimed at 19+ student wishing to study during the daytime and not able to give a full commitment to a programme off study based over an academic year. The programme provides opportunity to progress to the next level of study but this is optional. You are taught by dedicated staff in specialist workshops based in the city centre.
