Here at The City of Liverpool College, our aim is to help young people gain experience in the industry they have chosen for a career.
Work placements are an important part of many courses at the College, that not only offer students a valuable insight into the world of work but also provide an opportunity to gain essential career skills.
Businesses look for students with passion and an appetite to learn on the job. That’s why we work with employers to ensure that student placements are equipped with a set of skills and knowledge relevant to their industry, to ensure that their business also benefits as the student gains confidence and on the job experience.
This year sees the launch of a pilot scheme for Industry Work Placements. This provides students with an opportunity to work for between 45 and 60 days, throughout their college year, with an employer whose business is matched to their course of study.
