The government has announced new funding for adult learners, offering you the opportunity to retrain or upskill for free this year!
We’re helping Liverpool to ‘build back better’ by offering a brand new range of courses for adults as part of the government-backed Lifetime Skills Guarantee. The courses are free for adults who haven’t already completed a Level 3 course (equivalent to 2 A-levels).
Make 2021 the year you retrain, upskill or make an exciting career change with one of our FREE courses.

  • An adult of any age (19+)
  • Located in Merseyside
  • Without a Level 3 (or above) qualification 
  • Looking to change career, re-train or learn practical skills

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the courses completely free of charge?
The courses are 100% free of charge if you are over the age of 19 and don’t already have a level 3 qualification (usually two A-Levels or an equivalent qualification). If you already have a level 3 qualification, you can still study with us but course fees will apply. You may be eligible for a loan to cover the course fees. What is a level 3 qualification?
A level 3 qualification is usually two A-Levels or an equivalent qualification. If you aren’t sure whether you have a Level 3, please contact us on 0151 252 3000 or email and we’ll be happy to help you.
What is the timetable for the courses?
The timetable for each course varies. However, all of the course timetables have been designed to allow students to study alongside other commitments, for example work or childcare. The course tutors for the course you are interested in will be happy to discuss the various options with you. Please call 0151 252 3000 or email to leave your name and contact information, and a tutor will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
When do the courses start?
Most of the Lifetime Skills courses will be starting from 19th April, with a small number of courses starting in May.
