This nursery is based in The Learning Exchange building and is registered for 18 children per session aged from 18 months to 4 years. The nursery provides childcare to the surrounding college centres of The Arts Centre, Duke Street and Clarence St and is 10 minutes walking distance to all centres.
Due to its smaller size, the nursery provides a cosy, nurturing environment, where siblings can be cared for in the same setting. The children benefit from a well-equipped play area and a large outdoor play area.
This nursery is based within Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre (L8) and is registered for 27 children per session, aged from 9 months to 4 years. There is a separate room for the babies/toddlers and a play area for the 2-4 year age range. There is a large outdoor play area accessible from both rooms.
The nursery is a 10 minute walk to The Arts Centre, 15 minutes to the other centres, also there is a bus stop outside the nursery with 2 or 3 stops to the other college centres.
Similarly to The Learning Exchange nursery, siblings can be cared for in the same nursery and children benefit from the family groupings of being with younger and older children. A wide variety of play opportunities are available to the children throughout the day.
ALL college staff are qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare and Education and with the essential skills and experience, establish secure and warm relationships with the children. All staff will work in partnership with parents/carers to ensure each child is settled within nursery and enjoys their learning and development journey whilst at nursery.
