Here at the College, we offer a sixth-form education to those ready to study GCSEs and A-levels in an inspiring learning environment. Subjects taught in our specialised city centre campus on Clarence Street offer students an independent, university-style experience.

With one-hundred-percent pass rates in core subjects, including maths and science, we’re not only proud of our past student successes, but also the commitment we make to support all learners to achieve their best.

As well as this, our courses provide a thorough grounding in the tools and techniques required in the workplace, as students work alongside our expert tutors to build on their knowledge and confidence.

Our modern sixth-form campus also offers some of the best facilities and specialist equipment around, including those found in professional laboratories and workshops. Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) Assessment Centre

The Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2)

The AM2 skill test is for apprentices nearing completion of the JIB Apprentice Training Scheme, the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship, as well as for others who wish to use the test to accredit practical experience.

The AM2 is the electro-technical industry’s standard assessment for occupational competence.

AM2 Refresher Assessment

The AM2 Refresher Assessment is a revision course taken by those individuals preparing for their AM2 Assessment.

You should complete the NET ‘Candidate Self-Assessment checklist’ to determine whether you’re a suitable candidate for the refresher course, which has been designed to enhance a candidate’s existing practical skills and underpinning knowledge prior to taking the AM2 assessment.

It may not be essential for you to take this course if you have gained experience across all key occupational areas. However, if the checklist identifies you as not being fully prepared, then the refresher training is ideal.

Please note: this one day refresher course is not appropriate if you don’t already have the basic underpinning knowledge and practical skills specified in the NET checklist.
