The Level 1 Diploma in Art, Design and Media is a great introduction to developing your creative mind and learning a wide range of artistic skills and techniques. You can develop these skills further and progress onto a range of Level 2 programmes at the College including Art and Design, and Fashion and Digital pathways. You will undertake several primary research trips during the course of the year including The World Museum, Albert Dock, the TATE and Walker Art galleries. This will develop your skills in photography, drawing and mark making with a range of media including pencils, ink, charcoal, pastel, fineliner, watercolour and acrylic paint. You will undertake several projects relating to different themes including nature and learn new skills in the following areas:
- Drawing with different media
- Digital Art Techniques
- 3D Techniques including clay sculpture
This course caters for 16-18's and as part of the study programme you will be expected to study English, maths, EEP hours and a work placement.
This course is not available for 19+ applicants.

- UAL Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design (Visual Arts, Digital Art, Photography or Fashion Pathway) 16 - 18 Year Olds
- Employment or self-employment in the creative industries and towards creative apprenticeships.
3 GCSE's at grade 2/E or Pass at Entry Level or Equivalent + Interview and or initial assessment.
