Course information
This exciting qualification has been developed with large companies in the UK aviation industry and is designed to meet the needs of students who want to work in aviation, particularly on the ground. Whilst not specifically aimed at students who want to progress to university, students can progress on to Foundation Degree and Higher National Diplomas.
The course content and activities provide skills students will require to gain employment and progress in a career in aviation. The specialist units are selected to reflect a range of learning and to allow learners to have transferable skills
The course is primarily aimed at students in the 16-18 age group who want a career in the aviation industry.
Students will also complete a customer service qualification and a 2 week work placement is obligatory.
Trips to Liverpool John Lennon Airport as well as to visitor attractions such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers. Some students may also be able to participate in our trip to BA flight training centre near Heathrow.

This course leads to...
Full and part-time employment in a range of aviation roles including passenger services, ground handling, dispatch, and security operations.
Students can also progress on to Foundation Degree.
Entry Requirements
Applicants will ideally be 16-18, although exceptions might be made.
Students should have 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at 4 or above ideally including English and Maths
All potential candidates will be assessed prior to the enrolment on any programme.
All applicants will need to complete a satisfactory initial assessment and interview.
