Level 2 Beauty Therapy is a one year course designed for those with little to no experience, who would like to gain the knowledge and skills required for a career in the Beauty Therapy industry. This course enables learners to progress to level 3 Beauty Therapy.

• Client care and communication
• Contribute to the effective running of business
• Salon reception duties
• Facial skin care
• Removal of hair using waxing and sugaring techniques
• Manicure treatments
• Pedicure treatments
• Lash and brow treatments
• Lash lifting treatment
• Apply and instruct make-up application
This course is fast paced, creative and delivered to a strict time scale. You will work on paying clients in one of our salons in a Realistic Working environment. You will need to be highly motivated and be able to work positively as a member of a team and independently.
You have the opportunity to complete 1 day self-financed courses during the year in the following:
• Semi-permanent lash extensions
• St Tropez spray tanning
• CND shellac polish
Throughout the course, to build and enhance skills you will take part in events, offering treatments that you have learned:
• Nurses day at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Walton Neuron Hospital
• International Women’s Day
• Various charity events
• Liverpool Homeless event
Work experience is a mandatory part of this course and you will be required to gain 20 hours in a commercial salon. This will enable you to gain invaluable skills to work in the industry.
Maths and English is a compulsory part of the course for those aged 16-18 if grade 4 has not been achieved at school.

VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Treatments
VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make Up
All methods are selected to meet the levels and ability of each individual student. It is desirable to have at least 4 GCSEs at a grade 3 - 4, or successful completion of a Level 1 course in a related subject area. Prospective students may be asked to sit an initial assessment to determine their current levels of literacy and numeracy, if they do not fit into the above category. It is essential that applicants demonstrate an appropriate level of inter-personal skills at interview as this is a customer focused industry.
During interview the applicants needs to be able to express themselves clearly and show a passion for the course and its content.
