You will also gain knowledge about counselling theory and the ethical framework that guides counsellors in the application of their skills:
• Exploring the application of core counselling skills in therapeutic relationships and other helping contexts.
• Examining the foundational role of counselling theory in guiding the use of counselling skills.
• Understanding how the ethical framework shapes the personal utilization of counselling skills.
• Cultivating future growth by developing essential skills and qualities.
Qualifications

Microsoft Office 365 - Free
When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

- This course offers an introduction to counselling skills, aiming to establish a solid foundation of knowledge in this field. While it provides a valuable starting point, additional study is necessary to pursue a career as a qualified counsellor.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course learners need to be aged 19+, have at least a Level 1 in English, good IT skills and access to a PC or laptop.
Fees
This course is only available to learners aged 19 and over.
If you are unemployed or earning less than £31,600 a year? You may qualify to join this course for free.
