What to expect from the course
- This qualification is designed to increase learners' awareness and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.
The need for education and training across sectors to enable identifi ation of abuse, allocation of support and referral is a recurring theme within regional domestic abuse strategies.
Awareness of domestic abuse and its impact is important for those working in a wide range of sectors such as healthcare,social care, childcare, education and housing. There is a need to understand the issues, report on those who may be at risk and support signposting to relevant services.

How am I assessed?
Learning will take place via an online platform, you will be able to learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college.
At the start of your course, you will be allocated a tutor who will support you through your qualification and you will be provided with all learning and assessment materials which have been specifically developed to support you in meeting the qualification requirements.Your tutor will also provide you with written feedback on the assessments you submit as well as ongoing support through a remote tutorial.Qualifications

Microsoft Office 365 - Free
When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be aged 19+, have at least a Level 1 in English, be confident using IT and have access to a PC or laptop.
