What to expect from the course

This course will equip learners with a detailed understanding of mental health and mental health issues, the principles of the mental health care worker, approaches to care and management and the duty of care in adult health and social care, and change and support in relation to mental health.

This qualification is aimed at anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the role of the mental health care worker. Throughout this course, the skills and knowledge needed to understand approaches to care and management in mental health, the duty of care, and the principles a mental health care worker is required to have will all be covered.

Qualifications

On successful completion of the course you will have achieved a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of the Mental Health Care Worker.

Duke Street campus is also home to the College’s Academy Restaurant. Often referred to by it’s customers as Liverpool’s hidden gem, the restaurant serves top class cuisine, at highly competitive prices. Food is expertly prepared by professional chef/tutors and young chefs in training and offers students a range of discounts at different times of the year.

When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.

The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Learners must be aged 19 or over, have at least a Level 1 English and good IT skills, you will also need access to a PC or laptop

This course is only available to learners aged 19 and over.
If you are unemployed or earning less than £31,600 a year? You may qualify to join this course for free.
