The Level 5 Higher National Diploma Top-up in Construction and the Built Environment builds on previous learning from the Level 4 Higher National Certificate. The course develops students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification aims to widen access to higher education and enhance students' career prospects.
Students will develop a sound understanding of the principles in construction and learn to apply those principles more widely.
The course prepares students to perform effectively in their chosen field and develop the qualities necessary for employment in situations requiring the exercise of personal responsibility and decision-making. This course embeds the development of key skills throughout the programme, including attributes and strengths required by twenty-first century employers.

This programme is delivered through in-person teaching. Should government guidance or public heath advice change in-year, students will be able to continue their studies with a blend of in-person and remote learning, supported by additional safety measures on campus.

The Academy RestaurantWhen you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.
