On completion of the course, learners can progress to a Level 2 qualification in one of these subject areas.

This one year course is a full-time programme which will include maths & English GCSE if required. At The City of Liverpool College, we will help you to develop the skills that employers want you to have. We have a focus on your career and not just the course you are on. Alongside your studies you will have the opportunity to undertake work experience that interests you.

You will be taught in various ways including lectures, workshops, seminars, self-directed study, research exercises, group-learning and work-based activity and tutorials. You will be assessed through a combination of assignments and controlled assessments set by the awarding body.

The units you will follow include topics such as:
• Being organised
• Developing a progression plan
• Working with others
• Researching a topic

Through studying a variety of options, it is hoped that you will widen your knowledge enabling you to make informed career decisions upon completion of the course. The vocational units are at the heart of what we do.
