Want to work in Healthcare? Would you like to study and gain lots of work experience at the same time? We will provide you with a relevant placement where you will gain the practical experience you need to get a job. This will be done in conjunction with classroom based learning.
This is an exciting new qualification providing you with a range of essential technical and practical skills and knowledge to work within one of the health care or childcare industries.
If you are successful on the course we will guarantee you a job interview at the end of the course.
What does the qualification cover?
The content of the qualification will look at areas such as:
Working in health care and social care
Working with babies, children, young people and families in care and education.
Values beliefs and behaviours for working in healthcare, care and childcare settings.
Communication
Working safely in the environment
Safeguarding and protecting vulnerable people.
The course will be a mixture of classroom based activity delivered by industry experts, and work experience. The work experience will give you the opportunity to put the skills you have learnt into practice.

Level 2 Technical Certificate in Healthcare, Care and Childcare

Following successful completion of this qualification you will be qualified to work in a number of settings, such as:
Healthcare assistant
Care assistant
Childcare worker/assistant


Entry Requirements

This qualification is suitable for anyone over the age of 16 years. You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience to start this qualification. Please note that this course is not funded for 19 years old and over. You will be required to attend an interview which you must have prepared for in advance using the materials that will be sent to you on application.

If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, you won't have to pay any fees for this course.
