What to expect from the course
- This course is suitable for those who wish to gain the practical skills and knowledge required for access to employment in the industry. We also offer a Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication and welding on a study programme (applications can be made via college web page)
During the course you will develop your skills and gain an understanding of equipment functions, how materials behave when subjected to the MIG/ MMA welding processes and the correct procedures for safety that are paramount in this industry. There are 3 practical joint assessments and a short answer question paper which will be marked internally
The course will start in January 2022 and be 5 hours a week for 10 weeks

Microsoft Office 365 - Free
When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
Onsite Sports Facilities/Fitness Suite
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.

Fees
If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free. If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, you won't have to pay any fees for this course.
