Your tutors are all passionate about the subject and their students. They will help you learn and develop your confidence in a subject you may have struggled with in the past. Building up strong foundations to develop your understanding on and helping you try different methods until you find one that works for you. Many learners find the experience at college different and lots go on to flourish. It may take 1, 2, 3 or even more attempts to get the qualification but the most important thing is to keep trying, that is what we are here to help you do.
The Academy Bakery is located on the Duke Street campus, producing a range of first class baked goods daily. These include artisan breads, patisserie and biscuits, as well as special occasion/novelty cakes by award-winning master-bakers. Duke Street is also home to The Academy Hair and Beauty salons. They offer generous student discounts on a wide range of hair and beauty treatments, at a fraction of high-street prices. Duke Street campus is also home to the College’s Academy Restaurant. Often referred to by it’s customers as Liverpool’s hidden gem, the restaurant serves top class cuisine, at highly competitive prices. When you become a student of the College you’ll receive full access to Microsoft Office 365. This allows you to install the software on your own computer and other devices at home, completely free of charge.
The college has excellent sports and fitness facilities at its Roscoe Street campus. Students pay a one-off membership fee for all year round usage of weekly supervised gym sessions, as well as access to a number of sporting clubs and events.
All students aged 16-18 without English and Maths at grade 4 will be required to work towards these qualifications while on their course. 19+ learners will need to sit a suitability assessment to find the right course and level.

If you are 16-18 years old at the start of your course, studying at The City of Liverpool College is free. GCSE Maths, GCSE English and Functional Skills course fees may be free if you haven't already obtained a grade C / 4 or above in these subjects.
