Course information
The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a level three qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university. The course is structured to allow students to develop both knowledge of their subjects and the academic skills to progress to university. The evening and blended learning course is designed to fit in around busy schedules with a minimum of one evening per week studying at the college, combined with a distance learning programme.
The combination of subjects will allow you to build up an extensive knowledge of teaching practice and skills, through the education professions module. You will also have the opportunity to develop your subject knowledge in areas such as history and English literature.
You will have access to outstanding academic and pastoral support, detailed online materials and the full Microsoft 365 suite during your studies.
The course is taught at the Clarence Street building, takes one academic year (September to the end of June) and is taught over 3 days.
IMPORTANT: You must be aged 19 or over to be able to study on an Access programme.
