Overview

This exciting course is delivered through a mixture of practical, theoretical and work-related tasks and activities. You will be provided with the chance to study in areas related not only to the Public Services but also to areas such as Sport, Psychology, Sociology, Leadership and Health. You will work with talented tutors and serving members of the Public Services. You will have the chance to ask questions, explore employment and receive advice relevant to your chosen career path. The subjects you will study are wide ranging, engaging and enjoyable which will enable you to show off your practical and academic ability. You will learn about:
• employment opportunities
• teamwork and problem solving skills
• health and safety
• health and hygiene
• uniformed service routine
• health and fitness
• volunteering
• equality and diversity
In this safe and supportive environment, you will achieve anything you put your mind to!
As part of the course you may also study English and Maths to develop your employability skills.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

For our Level 2 Uniformed Public Service course we usually require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above including English and Maths.
Please note that any student not achieving a Level 4 in GCSE Maths/English will resit these GCSEs alongside their main college course.

• All applicants will need to complete a satisfactory interview and an Initial Assessment.

• You should show a genuine interest in the study of public services, be disciplined and committed to working hard.
