The Level 3 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to work in the hairdressing industry. Students will learn the creative art of cutting women's hair, the artistic skill of colouring, styling and dressing hair and how to provide effective consultation for clients. You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety in the hairdressing industry. The qualification will give you the opportunity to develop your practical skills to an advanced level of ability.
During your time on the programme you will have opportunities to visit the outstanding Wella Studio in Manchester, here you will experience Wella colour specialist’s demonstrating all new colour trends within the industry.
Over the time on your course it is mandatory that you complete real work experience within a salon
Level 3 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing
This course leads to...
Successful completion of this course will enable students to progress onto a Level 4 programme of study, or to enter employment in a salon or self-employment.
Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
You need to have Maths and English at Level 1 or equivalent.
16-18 years old entry: Hairdressing Level 2 Qualification or 5 GCES’S at Grade 4 or above.
All candidates will be interviewed and will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of interpersonal skills as this is a customer focused industry.
